Anxiety and depression are usually related, and it usually happens that the person perceives this state as something “normal”.

Negative intrusive thoughts arise in the brain almost spontaneously, and usually their content is linked to experiences of the past, and/or aspects of the future. For example, you may believe in your mind that everyone is criticizing you in secret, and as a child you may – for example – have experienced public humiliation.

However, in spite of this, you feel that you are closing up, that something is not quite right, you want to cry, and mentally (in your brain) automatic negative thoughts appear (“I can’t”, “I’m no good”, among others), while you perceive uncomfortable sensations, for example, in your throat and head.
